CREATING NEW DISTRICT ASSOCIATIONS

The World Council, at its Annual Meeting in 2005 agreed the following District Associations registration levels:

FORMATION AND RECOGNITION – To form a National District Association that is recognised by the World Council a district must register a minimum of 10 boats that are owned or represented and located within its district. At this level the National District Chairperson may attend World Council Meetings but will have no voting rights. To be able to attend and vote at World Council Meetings a National District Association must register a minimum of 20 boats that are owned or represented and located within its District.

Whilst Districts that have registration levels below the minimum level will not be officially recognised by the World Council we will nonetheless provide assistance and guidance regarding event organisation, rule definitions and communication. Under certain circumstances Chairpersons of National Districts falling below the minimum registration levels will be invited to attend, in a listening role, World Council Meetings.
